Artist Statement

Why does my work have so much variety? Because, I appreciate many things. I find beauty in the folds of fabric, but also in skin, hair, and faces, I am inspired by nature and objects I can see and touch, but I also find inspiration in the imagination and fantasy of superheros, videogames, films, and animation. Why would I limit myself to one subject matter when there are so many beautiful and wonderful things in this world to experience, draw, and paint? I appreciate the variety of beauty and design of my creator.

 

Bio

I graduated from the University of Louisville in 2012 with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts, concentrating in 2D studios. I currently live in northern Indiana with my husband, who is Batman, and our Great Dane puppy.
